Mitre Peak

It was the piwauwau rock wren that directed me to Mitre Peak on the southern shore of the Milford Sound. Here in this beautiful and secluded place this little bird struggles to survive.

Mitre Peak has long held the public’s attention and is described as a must- see destination whether you are a local or overseas visitor.

My interpretation of Mitre Peak uses the pochoir process of printmaking to construct the distinctive land forms and layer images of the local flora and fauna.
