This print was created as part of the project “130 celebrate 130” a Franklin Print Group initiative where 130 printmakers celebrated the lives, roles, presence or influence of women, inspired by history, our national story, or personal experiences or thinking to mark 130 years of NZ women’s suffrage.
Val Griffith Jones is a multimedia artist living and working in Picton. From the Fabric Art Company to solo exhibitions, Val’s early work “expressed… women’s issues of the 80’s created in women’s ways”.
